Tonya Todd Obituary, Death – Authorities have released the identity of the victim in a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred in Dunn County. The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Tonya Todd, a resident of Boyceville, Wisconsin.
The crash took place on the night of Saturday, July 19, 2025, shortly before 9:30 p.m. According to a report from the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred along Highway 79, just north of 790th Avenue in the Town of Sherman.
When emergency crews arrived on the scene, they found two vehicles that had come to rest in opposite ditches. A truck was located in the southbound ditch, while a second vehicle was found in the northbound ditch. First responders discovered the driver of the vehicle, now identified as Todd, unresponsive and deceased at the scene. The driver of the truck sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Based on initial findings from investigators, it appears that Todd’s vehicle veered across the centerline and collided head-on with the oncoming truck. Authorities have not yet determined why the vehicle crossed into the opposite lane, and the cause of the crash remains under active investigation.
The sheriff’s office continues to gather details and is likely to perform further analysis to determine any contributing factors, such as road conditions, speed, or possible impairment. No additional details have been released about the truck driver or their current medical condition.
