The collision happened between a Mitsubishi Outlander and a white Honda Step Wagon, the latter of which was being used as a taxi operating on the route between Discovery Bay and Falmouth. According to preliminary reports, the driver of the Mitsubishi Outlander reportedly lost control of the vehicle, leading to a violent crash with the Step Wagon.
Several passengers from the vehicles, including two toddlers, were transported to the hospital for treatment. As of now, their conditions have not been publicly disclosed.

Vice Chairman of the National Road Safety Council (NRSC), Dr. Lucien Jones, confirmed that this crash adds to a growing number of fatalities on Jamaica’s roads this year.
