Kendale Williams Obituary, Death – A 23-year-old North Carolina man has been identified as the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred at a motel near Carowinds over the weekend. The York County Coroner’s Office confirmed on Monday, July 28, that the deceased individual was Kendale Williams.
The incident happened early Sunday morning, July 27, at the Motel 6 located on Foothills Way in Fort Mill. According to authorities, the shooting was reported around 3:30 a.m. When deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered Williams lying in the motel parking lot with apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators have since questioned a person of interest in connection with the case, but as of now, no arrests have been made, and the identity of the individual being questioned has not been released. Officials have not disclosed a motive for the shooting or any details regarding what may have led up to the deadly encounter.
