Jadeon Andredeshawn Wilson Obituary, Death – A man from Yulee was killed, and a woman was hospitalized following a shooting incident Saturday evening at an apartment complex in Camden County, Georgia, according to the St. Marys Police Department.
Authorities said that at approximately 6:09 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire at the Wellington Way Apartments located off Winding Road in St. Marys. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two individuals who had sustained gunshot wounds.
One of the victims, 23-year-old Jadeon Andredeshawn Wilson, was transported to Southeast Georgia Health System – Camden Campus. Despite efforts to save him, Wilson was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The second victim, identified as 23-year-old Jhainesia Keniya Glover, was also found injured at the scene. She was transported to UF Health Shands Hospital for treatment. Police later confirmed that Glover’s injuries were not life-threatening.
As the investigation began, officers detained 23-year-old Michael Anthony Massey for questioning related to the shooting. Massey was later arrested, though not in connection with the shooting itself. Authorities stated that Massey had an outstanding warrant for an unrelated matter. He was booked into the Camden County Jail based on that warrant.
At this stage of the investigation, no formal charges have been filed in connection with the shooting. Police have not released further details regarding the possible motive or circumstances that led to the incident.
Law enforcement agencies from multiple jurisdictions assisted in the investigation and response to the shooting, including the Kingsland Police Department and the Camden County Sheriff’s Office.
The St. Marys Police Department continues to investigate the case, urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
