Joshua Ivy Obituary, Death Cause – A motorcyclist involved in a serious crash in Ball Ground has died, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. The incident took place around 7:30 p.m. on Monday near the intersection of Upper Bethany Road and Land Road. Authorities reported that the motorcyclist lost control of his bike while navigating a curve in the roadway.
The rider, identified as 40-year-old Joshua Ivy of Canton, sustained critical injuries in the crash. Emergency responders transported him to Northside Cherokee Hospital, where medical staff attempted to treat his injuries. Unfortunately, Ivy later succumbed to those injuries and was pronounced dead.
Law enforcement officials have not released additional details regarding the cause of the accident, but it is believed that the loss of control on the curve played a major role. There is no indication at this time of other vehicles being involved in the crash.
