Alassane Tohandikou Obituary, Death – A man lost his life Tuesday morning after being hit by a vehicle on the Dan Ryan Expressway, according to the Illinois State Police. The incident happened in the outbound lanes near 95th Street. It began when a passenger vehicle, driven by 47-year-old Alassane Tohandikou, was involved in a hit-and-run crash—another vehicle struck his car and fled the scene.
After the initial collision, Tohandikou got out of his vehicle. While outside, he was struck by another passing vehicle. Emergency responders transported him to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as Alassane Tohandikou.
The driver who hit Tohandikou was also injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
