Cedell Miller Obituary, Death – The family of a Hialeah man who was fatally shot is speaking out as police continue searching for the suspect accused in his killing. Authorities have identified the victim as 27-year-old Cedell Miller. According to Hialeah Police, the shooting took place on September 10 in the parking lot of 2265 West 4th Court. Investigators say Miller became involved in a heated verbal dispute with 47-year-old Fletcher Jimeson. During the confrontation, Jimeson allegedly pulled out a firearm and shot Miller.

Emergency responders rushed Miller to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. Despite the efforts of medical teams, he later died from his injuries. His death has left family members heartbroken and demanding justice.

Police have identified Jimeson as the suspect and have issued a flyer seeking the public’s help in locating him. Officials describe him as armed and dangerous, urging anyone who may see him to contact authorities immediately rather than attempt to approach him. As of Monday, Jimeson remained at large.

Miller’s family spoke with NBC6, expressing their grief and confusion over the tragedy. His sister voiced the family’s pain, saying, “We just want to know why. We have so many questions, just like any family would. The why, the how, the details — we just want to know why this had to happen.”

His mother, Yolanda Gaint, who lives out of state, described the moment she was told of her son’s death. “Everybody was in a frantic mindset, we couldn’t believe it,” she recalled. For her, the loss feels especially devastating because it came just days before her son’s birthday.

Through tears, Yolanda shared her plea for justice. “No parent should ever have to bury their child,” she said. “I want justice for my child.” She added that Miller had a deep love for music and pursued it with passion. He was also an organ donor, and Yolanda hopes that even in death, her son’s generosity will save the lives of others.

In addition to his mother and sister, Miller leaves behind two young children. His death has created not only emotional devastation but also financial hardship for the family. They are now working to raise funds to cover funeral expenses and provide for the children he left behind.

The tragedy has highlighted the ongoing issue of gun violence in South Florida, where disputes can quickly escalate to deadly encounters. Police continue to ask the community for assistance in finding Jimeson, emphasizing that any tip, no matter how small, could help bring closure to Miller’s family and ensure that justice is served.

Anyone with information regarding Jimeson’s whereabouts is urged to call the Hialeah Police Department at 305-687-2525.

As the search for the suspect continues, Miller’s family is left mourning a son, brother, and father whose life was cut short at only 27. For them, the grief is accompanied by unanswered questions — but also by a determination to honor his memory and seek justice in his name.
