LAS VEGAS (SOCIETY ALERT) — A teenager killed in a shooting linked to an attempted robbery in Las Vegas has been publicly identified by authorities. The Clark County Coroner’s Office confirmed the victim as Julio Bravo, 17, of Las Vegas, who died after sustaining gunshot wounds. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of September 15, shortly after 1 a.m., according to police.

Officers reported that the shooting took place near Washington Avenue and Lamb Boulevard, an area not far from East Family Park. Investigators said three teenagers were shot during the confrontation.

According to an arrest report, the violence began when Jose Juarez and another male approached two people — a male and a female — who were seated on a bench inside East Family Park. The suspects allegedly tried to rob the pair. When the male victim refused to hand over his belongings, gunfire erupted. Police said the male victim was struck in both the face and stomach during the shooting.

Bravo, who was among those shot, was critically injured and later pronounced dead. Police did not immediately clarify whether Bravo was involved as a victim of the robbery attempt or otherwise connected to the suspects.

Authorities confirmed that Juarez and two other teenagers were taken into custody shortly after the shooting. The group now faces criminal charges connected to the incident.

Court records show that Juarez is scheduled to make his next court appearance on October 2, where the charges against him will be addressed. Meanwhile, the investigation into the events that led to the gunfire remains active.

The fatal shooting has raised concerns in the community, as it comes amid broader worries about violent crimes involving young people in the Las Vegas Valley. Police have not released further details about the conditions of the other two teenagers who were injured.

Authorities continue to encourage anyone with additional information about the incident to come forward as the case moves through the legal process.
