According to Coroner Darryl Ables, Stroman had been driving a 2012 Toyota Camry westbound on Interstate 20 around 9 p.m. when the crash occurred. As the vehicle exited the interstate at Exit 6, leading toward U.S. 520, it collided with a guardrail. The impact proved fatal, and Stroman was partially ejected from the car. Emergency personnel who responded to the scene reported that he died from injuries sustained in the wreck and was pronounced dead on site.
No other passengers were in the car, and no additional injuries were reported. Authorities have not yet determined whether Stroman had been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, a detail that may be clarified in the ongoing investigation.
