BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman who died after being struck by a vehicle earlier this month, officials say.

The incident occurred around 6:13 a.m. on January 12 in the 5300 block of South Union Avenue in south Bakersfield. According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to a call about a pedestrian and vehicle crash and found the woman with serious injuries.

The victim has been named as 25‑year‑old Wendy Rose Wilson of Bakersfield. Emergency medical personnel pronounced her deceased at the scene.

Investigators say that the collision involved a 2012 Toyota Yaris driven by a 68‑year‑old man, and that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. Officials are continuing to review details to determine the full circumstances surrounding the crash.

At this time, authorities have not announced any charges or cited additional contributing factors.
