OTOE COUNTY, Neb. — Officials have identified the man who died after a camper fire early Saturday morning in the area near Nebraska City, the Otoe County Sheriff’s Office says.
Emergency responders were called to the scene at a campground on the western edge of Nebraska City at about 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 24 after reports of a camper fully engulfed in flames. When fire crews arrived, they located the body of a man inside the camper.
The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office and the coroner’s office have identified the victim as 55‑year‑old Bradley Donner Sr. of Omaha. A preliminary autopsy report indicates he died from smoke inhalation and thermal injuries sustained in the fire.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office is assisting with the investigation to determine the cause of the camper fire, and officials say updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
