County authorities have identified the man who died following a shooting in East Los Angeles that also left two others injured. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that the victim was 45-year-old Hector Garcia Rojas.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the shooting was reported around 5:50 p.m. Sunday in the 4000 block of San Carlos Street, near East Cesar E. Chavez Avenue. Deputies responded to the area after receiving reports of gunfire.

When authorities arrived, they located three adult men suffering from gunshot injuries. All three were transported to local hospitals for medical treatment. Officials said Garcia Rojas later died at the hospital. The other two men were treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
