According to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 11 a.m. to the 3000 block of Avery Street following reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located a woman who had sustained a gunshot injury. She was transported for medical care but later died from her injuries.
Officials have identified the victim as Jennifer Sanchez Solis, 19. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
