A 71-year-old woman from Medicine Park has died following a two-vehicle crash in Comanche County on Wednesday, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
First responders were dispatched to the scene near State Highway 58 and Northwest Miller Road after reports of a collision. Authorities said the crash involved two vehicles and occurred during daytime hours.
Investigators with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the victim as Susan May, 71, of Medicine Park. Officials confirmed that she died from injuries sustained in the crash.
According to preliminary findings released by troopers, May’s vehicle entered the northbound lane of State Highway 58, where it was struck by another vehicle traveling in that direction. Authorities described the collision as head-on.
Emergency crews responded promptly and secured the area while investigators began reviewing the circumstances surrounding the crash. No additional details about the driver of the second vehicle have been released.
