Authorities in Asheville say they are investigating the city’s first reported homicide of 2026 after a man was found deceased early Saturday morning.
According to the Asheville Police Department, officers responded to a report of a person suffering from a gunshot wound shortly after 12:20 a.m. near Granada Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they located an individual who was unresponsive.
Police later identified the victim as 27-year-old Eric Lee Anderson Lordman Jr. Authorities confirmed that he had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
