Robeson County authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning near Rowland. Deputies responded to a home at the intersection of Josie Lane and Kitchen Street Road shortly after 3 a.m., where they found 16-year-old Keedon Lewis of Lumberton deceased.

Sheriff Burnis Wilkins confirmed the incident occurred during a gathering at the home. “We know there were a number of individuals present at the gathering, and we are asking anyone who has been in attendance or who has any information to please come forward and speak with our investigators,” Wilkins said.
