Authorities report that a man from Waterford, Connecticut has died following a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 395 in Montville.

According to the Connecticut State Police, troopers responded around 7:41 a.m. Saturday to a report of a serious crash on I-395 North near Exit 6.

Investigators said the driver, identified as Theodore Dickson, 37, was operating a 2019 Infiniti Q50 when the vehicle struck four Department of Transportation signs on the right shoulder. The car then left the roadway and came to rest in a wooded area along the shoulder.

Dickson was transported to William W. Backus Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

State police have confirmed that the crash remains under investigation. Officials are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact Connecticut State Police Troop E .
