Thomas R. Harmon Obituary, Death – A two-car crash in Franklin County, Kansas, on Thursday claimed the life of 38-year-old Thomas R. Harmon of Pomona. The collision occurred shortly after 4 p.m. on Kansas Highway 68, west of Ottawa.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Harmon was driving a westbound Hyundai Accent when it collided with an eastbound Mercury Grand Marquis. The crash happened as the Marquis attempted to turn north onto Indiana Road but failed to yield the right of way.
Harmon was pronounced dead at the scene. The two occupants of the Marquis, an 83-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man, both from Ottawa, sustained serious injuries and were transported to a hospital for treatment.
The Kansas Highway Patrol noted that Harmon was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
