Jessica Yax Obituary, Death – A tragic accident in Bay City claimed the life of 31-year-old Jessica Yax, as confirmed by the Bay City Department of Public Safety. The incident occurred on Thursday, Nov. 14, in the parking lot of the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission, where Yax was staying.

Authorities stated that Yax was walking through the parking lot at 4:41 p.m. when she slipped and fell. Shortly after, a vehicle driven by a 58-year-old Saginaw resident struck her. Yax was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, who was not injured, is cooperating fully with the investigation.

The case remains under review, and after the investigation concludes, it will be forwarded to the Bay County Prosecutor’s Office to determine whether charges will be filed. Authorities encourage anyone with information about the incident to contact the Bay City Department of Public Safety or Bay County Central Dispatch.
