Monroe S. Wessler Obituary, Death – A 65-year-old Cordova man was struck and killed by a car Wednesday evening. Monroe S. Wessler was walking in the roadway on Stat Hwy 5 near mile marker 161 when he was hit by a 2010 Toyota Prius. Wessler was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers with the Highway Patrol Division was investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash at this time.
