Shirley Hollan Obituary, Death – A woman who died in a tragic train-SUV collision in Portland, Tennessee, has been identified as 66-year-old Shirley Hollan, according to Smokey Barn News (SBN).
The accident occurred when Hollan attempted to cross railroad tracks despite the warning signals activated for an approaching eastbound train. Officials report that Hollan disregarded the crossing signal, resulting in her SUV colliding with the train.
The impact caused the vehicle to overturn and land upside down in a nearby ditch. Hollan was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her family has since created a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funeral expenses.
