Jairus Gayden Obituary, Death – The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office identified the teenager shot and killed in Little Woods on Wednesday. The victim was 18-year-old Jairus Gayden. On Wednesday afternoon, New Orleans Police responded to an incident initially reported as a medical emergency at an apartment complex located in the 11900 block of Hayne Boulevard. When paramedics arrived, they pronounced Gayden dead at the scene.
At the time of the initial response, the cause of death was not confirmed. However, following further investigation, police determined that Gayden had died from at least one gunshot wound.
