Rebecca Davis Obituary, Death – A 79-year-old Omaha woman, Rebecca Davis, was killed in a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday night in northwest Omaha. Davis was driving a Ford Fiesta when the four-car accident occurred at the intersection of Sorenson Parkway and Wenninghoff Road, just before 6 p.m.

In addition to Davis’s vehicle, a silver Honda Pilot, a red Toyota Camry, and a silver Honda Odyssey were involved. According to authorities, the crash began when the driver of the Honda Pilot, a 17-year-old Omaha resident, was traveling west on Sorenson Parkway. The teen attempted to turn north onto Wenninghoff Road but collided with Davis’s car.

Following the initial impact, the Toyota Camry and Honda Odyssey were also struck, according to a preliminary investigation. Both Davis and the driver of the Pilot, who were critically injured, were transported to the hospital. Sadly, Davis later succumbed to her injuries.

The 57-year-old male driver of the Toyota Camry was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Investigators suspect that speed may have played a role in the crash, although the investigation is still ongoing.

As a result of the collision, the intersection remained closed for nearly three hours while authorities investigated the scene.
