Reggie Lee Dantzler Obituary, Death – The family of Reggie Lee Dantzler, a 40-year-old man fatally shot at the South Carolina Motorplex, confirmed his identity Friday morning. Dantzler’s first cousin, Ivan Larrymore, provided the confirmation following the tragic incident that occurred on Saturday at the Motorplex located on Dragstrip Road.
The shooting also left two others injured: a 32-year-old man and a 15-year-old teenager. Both victims sustained injuries but are in stable condition and recovering, according to the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office.
In memory of Dantzler, visitation services have been planned. A public visitation will take place on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Albert A. Glover Funeral Home in Summerville. Another visitation will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday at the John Ford Community Center in St. Matthews, followed by a celebration of life service at the same location at 1 p.m.
The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the shooting but has yet to make any arrests or identify suspects. Authorities are working to piece together the events leading up to the incident to bring justice to Dantzler and his family.
