Monica Wright Obituary, Death – A fatal crash early Sunday morning in Sumter County is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP). The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 378 West and Highway 261 South, claiming the life of one woman.

Sumter County Coroner Robbie Baker identified the victim as 48-year-old Monica Wright. According to authorities, Wright was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the collision with another vehicle.

Officials have confirmed that an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday at The Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston to further understand the circumstances surrounding Wright’s death.
