Andrea Shultz Obituary, Death – A tragic diving accident claimed the life of a 56-year-old woman off the coast of Key Largo on Tuesday, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO). The incident occurred near Molasses Reef, a popular diving destination in the Florida Keys.
The woman, identified as Andrea Shultz of Tallahassee, was diving in the area when she suddenly lost consciousness in the water. The incident unfolded shortly after 10 a.m., said MCSO spokesperson Adam Linhardt. Witnesses and authorities acted quickly to bring Shultz to shore in an attempt to save her life.
Medics onboard the rescue vessel administered CPR to Shultz as they transported her back to land. Despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead upon arrival at the shore.
