Robert Peliti, Jackie Peliti Obituary, Death – Two individuals killed in a suspected murder spree in Pontotoc County on Tuesday night have been identified as Robert Peliti, 84, and Jackie Peliti, 70, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI).
The Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI’s assistance at approximately 11:30 p.m. after discovering the double homicide near State Highway 1 and County Road 1512 in Allen. When deputies arrived, they found both victims severely injured. Jackie Peliti was pronounced dead at the scene, while Robert Peliti was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
Authorities identified 42-year-old Richard Chambers as the suspect in these murders. Chambers has also been linked to the murder of Annie Brown, a Midwest City resident, in a separate incident earlier that same day.
An extensive manhunt ensued, and Chambers was located and apprehended in rural Hughes County around 9 a.m. on Wednesday. OSBI reported that the suspect’s capture ended a tense search involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
The investigation into the killings is ongoing as authorities continue to piece together details surrounding the incidents.
