Joyner Wesley Obituary, Death – A 29-year-old man has died after being found unresponsive in his cell at the Shelby County Jail, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO). The detainee, identified as Joyner Wesley, was discovered by corrections officers shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Emergency personnel, including paramedics and the Memphis Fire Department, arrived promptly and attempted life-saving measures. Wesley was transported to Methodist Hospital in critical condition but was pronounced dead upon arrival, just after 6:30 p.m.
