Maguire Vogel Obituary, Death – The motorcyclist who tragically died in a collision on Tuesday evening has been identified as 22-year-old Maguire Vogel, according to the Lubbock Police Department.

The incident occurred around 4:49 p.m. when officers responded to a report of a crash with injuries on the westbound lanes of the 5300 block of Marsha Sharp Freeway. Preliminary investigations revealed that Vogel and 21-year-old Ceasar Espejo were riding separate motorcycles west on the freeway’s left lane when the two motorcycles came into contact.

As a result of the collision, Vogel’s motorcycle veered to the right and struck a guardrail. He was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained severe injuries. Emergency responders quickly transported Vogel to University Medical Center for treatment, but he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.

Espejo, who was riding the other motorcycle, was unharmed in the incident.

The Lubbock Police Department is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities are working to determine the cause and other contributing factors. Further updates on the investigation will be provided as new details emerge.
