Kyre Ambrose Obituary, Death – An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old in Brockton, according to officials. The incident occurred early Saturday, January 4, when Brockton Police received a 911 call around 1:55 a.m. from a resident reporting the stabbing of a male family member at 17 Foster Street, stated Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz.

When Brockton Police and emergency medical personnel arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was rushed to Good Samaritan Medical Center but was pronounced dead from his injuries. The district attorney’s office identified the victim as 19-year-old Kyre Ambrose.

Following the incident, Brockton Police contacted the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit, which is assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, to help investigate. Investigators canvassed the area and reviewed surveillance footage, which led them to develop probable cause to arrest the suspect, 18-year-old Jayden Fernandez.

Authorities discovered that Fernandez was receiving treatment for a hand injury at Newton Wellesley Hospital. He was taken into custody there and is scheduled to be arraigned on a murder charge in Brockton District Court on Monday. The investigation remains ongoing as law enforcement continues to gather more details about the case.
