Ezra Millard Obituary, Death – A tragic accident on Monday evening in Leominster, Massachusetts, claimed the life of 13-year-old Ezra Millard, who was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado near the Market Basket on Sack Boulevard. The incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m., and Millard was transported to UMass Memorial HealthAlliance Hospital – Leominster Campus, where he was later pronounced dead.

Ezra’s father described him as a “beautiful soul” with a passion for travel, the arts, and competitive roller derby. Known by the nickname “Terror Byte” on his roller derby team, Ezra had found a sense of belonging and identity in the sport. Wendy Matusovich, president of the New England Junior Roller Derby, expressed the deep sadness felt by the community, emphasizing the heartbreak of losing someone just beginning to live life on their terms.

Sky View Middle School, where Ezra was a student, and the roller derby team plan to honor his memory. The team, along with their coaches and officials, are mourning the loss of one of their skaters, described as a significant and beloved member of the community.

The driver of the Silverado, registered in Maine, stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Authorities, including the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit, the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit, and the Leominster Police Department, are conducting a thorough investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding the accident.
