Aaron Pittman-Teague Obituary, Death – The Kankakee County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) employee who tragically died on Monday when his snowplow was struck by a train near Danforth, Illinois. The deceased has been identified as 29-year-old Aaron Pittman-Teague.

After the crash, Pittman-Teague was rushed to Riverside Hospital in Kankakee, where he was sadly pronounced dead. The crash occurred in Iroquois County, and the coroner, Robert Gessner, indicated that an autopsy was conducted on Tuesday. However, the results of the autopsy, including the toxicology tests, are still pending.

In a statement following the tragic incident, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), through spokesperson Paul Wappel, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Pittman-Teague. He had worked as a full-time temporary highway maintainer since 2023. IDOT offered their condolences to his family and others affected by the loss. The department has pledged full cooperation with the Illinois State Police as they continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
