Jason Williams; Iowa Man Killed in Head-On Crash

A fatal crash occurred Wednesday evening near the town of Dysart, resulting in the death of one individual. The Iowa State Patrol reported that the collision took place at approximately 5:34 p.m. on Highway 21, just south of 170th Street, about three miles northwest of Dysart.

According to the crash report, the incident involved two vehicles: a Volkswagen GTI traveling southbound on Highway 21 and a Ford F-150 towing a trailer heading northbound. The two vehicles collided in an offset head-on crash. The driver of the Volkswagen, 19-year-old Jason Williams from Dysart, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

The occupants of the Ford F-150 were 62-year-old Mark Bagenstos of Evansdale, the driver, and 59-year-old Jeanne Bagenstos of Clutier, a passenger. Both were taken to Allen Hospital for medical treatment. However, their specific conditions were not disclosed in the crash report.

The Iowa State Patrol is actively investigating the cause of the crash. As of now, the details surrounding the factors that led to the collision are still under review, and authorities are working to gather more information.
