Calvin Tyshaun Odell Batson – A man from Woodbridge died Thursday evening after a shooting incident that Prince William County Police believe was linked to a group altercation in Manassas. Authorities responded to reports of the shooting at 6:19 p.m. in the 8300 block of Sunset Drive. Upon arrival, officers found that the individuals involved had already left the scene, and there were no visible signs of injuries.

Shortly after, police received additional information that a 22-year-old man was being treated for gunshot wounds at a hospital. Further investigation revealed that two groups had been involved in an altercation in the same area. The situation escalated, leading to an exchange of gunfire between the groups. The individuals then fled in separate vehicles, and the injured man made his way to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The man was identified as Calvin Tyshaun Odell Batson, 22, of Woodbridge. Police have stated that they do not believe the shooting was a random act, and there were no other injuries or property damage reported. Detectives are continuing to investigate the events that led up to the shooting.
