Brian Thacker – A man was shot and killed in Bloomington on Thursday night, as confirmed by the Bloomington Police Department (BPD) on Friday. Officers responded to a report of gunshots at 10:28 p.m. at a residence on the 1000 block of N Summit Street. Upon arrival, they found 48-year-old Brian Thacker suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police attempted lifesaving measures before transporting Thacker to a nearby hospital, but he was pronounced dead shortly after. Investigators collected evidence at the scene, including the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting.
The BPD indicated that all individuals involved have been identified and that they were likely acquainted with one another.
