Eduardo Flores Alvarez Obituary, Death – A fatal single-vehicle accident occurred on Interstate 84 in Umatilla County on Saturday, January 4, resulting in the death of a Pendleton man, according to the Oregon State Police (OSP). The incident took place around 8:49 a.m. near milepost 179.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered that a pickup truck had veered into the median while traveling eastbound, subsequently rolling over and coming to a stop in the westbound lanes. The driver, identified as 34-year-old Eduardo Flores Alvarez from Pendleton, was ejected from the vehicle and found in the median. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash investigation did not disrupt traffic, and authorities are still determining the cause of the accident.
