Toby Walther Obituary, Death – The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has identified the driver killed in a fatal collision on Monday night as 43-year-old Toby Walther, a resident of Moncks Corner. According to the report, the crash took place at 8:47 p.m. at the intersection of Horseshoe Road and Honey Bee Road, located approximately four miles south of Moncks Corner.
Walther was driving a 2006 Ford Mustang eastbound on Horseshoe Road when, for an unknown reason, he veered off the left side of the road. His vehicle struck a signpost and then collided with two trees before coming to a halt. Tragically, Walther was declared dead at the scene by responding emergency personnel.
This incident marks the seventh traffic-related fatality in Berkeley County since the beginning of 2025, according to the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office. Investigations into the cause of the crash are still ongoing, with authorities working to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
