Kayla Breanne Frommelt – On Sunday morning, a fatal single-vehicle crash on Highway 141 near Grimes claimed the life of 26-year-old Kayla Breanne Frommelt, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities reported that deputies arrived at the scene around 9 a.m. and discovered Frommelt’s car in the west ditch after it had collided with a tree. Frommelt, who lived in Des Moines and was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Initial findings indicate that Frommelt was traveling southbound when she lost control of her vehicle, causing the crash. The cause of the incident remains under investigation by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Highway 141 was temporarily closed as deputies conducted their investigation at the scene. Further updates are expected as authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
