Cesar Flores-Diaz Obituary, Death – Authorities in Montgomery County are searching for a suspect involved in a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday night in Norristown. Officials have released video surveillance footage of the incident and are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

The shooting took place around 8:52 p.m. on February 13 in the 800 block of George Street. According to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, the victim, identified as 27-year-old Cesar Flores-Diaz, was shot multiple times while sitting in his vehicle.

Investigators stated that Flores-Diaz had just parked outside a home when an unknown assailant ran across the street and fired multiple shots through the driver’s side window. The gunman then fled on foot, heading north on George Street.

Authorities believe the shooting was premeditated, as the suspect was seen on video waiting in a nearby stairwell for at least five minutes before Flores-Diaz arrived. Police said the victim was struck multiple times in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene when officers arrived.

The surveillance footage captured a clear image of the suspect, who was described as a man wearing a blue backpack. Officials also noted that the suspect has a “distinctive gait,” which may help in identifying him.

In an effort to gather more information, law enforcement is urging anyone with knowledge of the crime to come forward. Those with information are encouraged to contact Montgomery County Detectives at 610-278-3386 or Norristown Police at 610-270-0977.
