Fidel Enerva Villaluna Obituary, Death – A man lost his life in a crash on Interstate 64 after his vehicle overturned and became partially submerged in water near the Military Highway exit ramp.
Virginia State Police responded to the scene around 9:17 a.m. on February 16, 2025, after receiving reports of a single-vehicle accident near mile marker 281. Upon arrival, troopers discovered a 2015 Honda CR-V overturned, with part of the vehicle submerged.
The driver, identified as 72-year-old Fidel Enerva Villaluna, was rescued from the wreck and transported to Norfolk Sentara General Hospital. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries.
A preliminary investigation indicated that Villaluna veered off the roadway before the crash. Authorities believe speed and alcohol may have contributed to the accident, though further details remain under investigation.
