Angela Maldonado, Skyy Richardson Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified the three people who died in a wrong-way crash Sunday afternoon in San Joaquin County. The victims were 25-year-old Angela Maldonado of Lockeford, 21-year-old Skyy Richardson of Stockton, and 37-year-old Simon Onesavanh of Stockton, according to the San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Crash Details

The fatal accident occurred around 3:40 p.m. on Highway 12, just east of Clements Road. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a Ford Fiesta was traveling east on the highway when the driver lost control for unknown reasons. The vehicle spun into the westbound lanes, where it was broadsided by an oncoming Toyota Tacoma.

Tragically, all three victims who died were inside the Ford Fiesta. None of the occupants in the Ford were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision, authorities said. Two other passengers in the Ford suffered major injuries and were transported to a hospital for treatment.

Investigation and Possible Cause

The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. However, officers suspect that alcohol may have played a role in the accident.

This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety, including seat belt use and responsible driving. Authorities continue to investigate the crash to determine all contributing factors.
