The incident occurred on March 18 around 11 a.m. in the 3000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue. When officers from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) arrived at the scene, they discovered 39-year-old Derrick Howard, a Baltimore, Maryland resident, unconscious with a gunshot wound.
Victim Pronounced Dead at Scene
Emergency medical personnel attempted life-saving measures, but Howard succumbed to his injuries before he could be transported to a hospital.
