William Christopher Tutt Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified the driver who died in a collision with a North East Independent School District (NEISD) school bus on Tuesday evening. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that the victim was 54-year-old William Christopher Tutt. While his identity has been released, the exact cause of his death remains under investigation.
The fatal accident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. on the 2400 block of Northeast Loop 410 near Starcrest Drive. According to law enforcement, a sedan, driven by Tutt, crashed into the rear of a stopped or slowing school bus. Witnesses described the severity of the crash, noting that the front of the car had become lodged underneath the bus, causing extensive damage.
One witness, identified as Jenkins, shared his observations, stating, “Somebody drove into the back of the bus. It looked like the bus was stopped, or they were stopping, and they just drove into the back of the bus. The whole front of the windshield is underneath it. That’s not a good sign. My thoughts and prayers to the family.”
Authorities have not provided further details on whether speed, impairment, or any other factors contributed to the collision. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash, and more information may be released as the inquiry progresses.
