Junior Dunkley Obituary, Death – Maryland State Police are currently investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that took place early Sunday morning in Baltimore County, resulting in the death of a 68-year-old man.

The victim, identified as Junior Dunkley, 67, from Owings Mills, Maryland, was the driver of a Toyota Tacoma involved in the incident. After the crash, Dunkley was transported by ambulance to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where he was later pronounced dead.

The incident occurred around 2:23 a.m. when troopers from the Maryland State Police Golden Ring Barrack responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on the inner loop of Interstate 695, near Wilkens Avenue. According to the preliminary investigation, Dunkley’s Tacoma had been parked on the right shoulder of I-695, and Dunkley was outside the vehicle, attempting to change a flat tire. At this time, another vehicle, described as a red 2005-2012 Toyota Tacoma, struck Dunkley. The driver of the red Tacoma did not stop and fled the scene.

The Maryland State Police Crash Team is leading the investigation into this tragic event. Authorities are seeking any witnesses or individuals who may have information related to the incident.
