Ruby Golnick Obituary, Death – A woman from North Iowa has lost her life after her motorcycle was hit by a semi-truck on Wednesday morning (June 4) near Charles City.
According to the Iowa State Patrol (ISP), the accident took place near mile marker 211 on US Highway 18 East, shortly after 9 a.m. The ISP reports that the motorcycle entered the path of the semi, resulting in the deadly collision.
The motorcyclist has been identified as 66-year-old Ruby Golnick from Garner, who succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The semi-truck was driven by a 24-year-old individual, known only as Navneet, from Caledon, Ontario, Canada.
The incident is still under investigation.
Responding to the scene were the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, Charles City Police, Floyd Fire Department, and AMR Ambulance.
