Trinity Jones Obituary, Death News– The coroner has confirmed the identity of a woman who was killed in a crash in Lexington on Thursday. According to the Lexington Police Department, the accident occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of South Lake Drive and Interstate 20.

Authorities reported that a Toyota exited the interstate at Exit 55 and veered into several lanes of traffic while navigating the off-ramp. Subsequently, an Acura traveling on South Lake Drive collided with the Toyota.

The passenger in the Toyota succumbed to her injuries after being transported to a hospital. Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher later identified the passenger as 22-year-old Trinity Jones. The coroner noted that Jones was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. Fisher also mentioned that both drivers were taken to hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The Lexington Police Department stated that the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Attorney General’s Office, Bureau of Protective Services, Lexington County Coroner’s Office, Lexington County Fire Services, and Lexington County EMS all provided assistance during the incident.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
