Mary O’Bier Obituary, Death – Delaware State Police have confirmed the identity of the woman who lost her life in a car accident in Milton on June 6 as 74-year-old Mary O’Bier from Ellendale. At approximately 4:30 p.m., a Chevrolet Suburban belonging to Sussex County EMS, with its emergency lights activated, was heading west on Milton Ellendale Highway, according to police reports.

As the Suburban neared the intersection with Mulberry Street, a Ford Bronco traveling north on Mulberry Street failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the path of the Suburban, police stated.

The Suburban collided with the passenger side of the Bronco, resulting in the Bronco spinning and crashing into a tree, as reported by the police. O’Bier, who was driving the Bronco, was transported to a hospital where she subsequently passed away.

The driver of the Suburban, a 38-year-old female paramedic, was also taken to a hospital but sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
