Leslie Ann Cataldo: A woman passed away at the hospital following an assault in Royal Oak, Michigan, and her adult daughter has been charged with homicide. The emergency call was made around 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday from the 3600 block of Crooks Road, as reported by the Royal Oak Police Department. The caller, later identified as Leslie Ann Cataldo, 66, from Fenton, indicated that her 45-year-old daughter was undergoing a mental health crisis and required transportation to a hospital.

Upon the arrival of the police, they discovered the older woman unresponsive on the floor. She had a life-threatening injury to her neck and was transported to Corewell Hospital in Royal Oak, where she underwent emergency surgery.

Leslie Ann Cataldo succumbed to her injuries on Thursday, according to the police report.

Meanwhile, her daughter, Jennifer Cataldo, was taken into custody at the scene. Jennifer Cataldo had an arraignment hearing on Friday afternoon at the 44th District Court on a charge of homicide-first degree murder, which carries a potential life sentence, as stated in the report. She remained in custody at the Oakland County Jail on Monday morning.
