Khalid Al Rakan Obituary, Cause Of Death – An 18-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a fatal two-vehicle crash in South Riding, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO). Deputies responded to the accident around 2:15 p.m. on Friday, June 6, at the intersection of Tall Cedars Parkway and South Riding Boulevard. The crash involved a Volkswagen Jetta and a Nissan Quest.

Authorities reported that the driver of the Jetta and a front-seat passenger were transported to a hospital for treatment. Sadly, the driver, identified as Khalid Al Rakan of Chantilly, later died from his injuries.

The driver of the Nissan Quest was treated at the scene and did not require hospitalization.

While the investigation is ongoing, the LCSO has indicated that speed likely played a role in the crash. However, there is currently no evidence suggesting that drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.
