Paul Ridenour Obituary, Death – Delaware State Police have identified the motorcyclist who died in a crash near Magnolia on June 16 as 46-year-old Paul Ridenour, a resident of Felton. The fatal collision happened around 8 p.m. on Walnut Shade Road, close to the intersection with Douglas Fir Road. According to investigators, Ridenour was riding a Kawasaki sportbike heading north on Walnut Shade Road at the time of the crash.

The accident occurred when a Toyota Camry, which had been stopped at a stop sign on Douglas Fir Road, attempted to turn left onto southbound Walnut Shade Road. As the Camry entered the intersection, the motorcycle collided with the front of the vehicle.

The force of the impact caused Ridenour to be ejected from his motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Police noted that the intersection where the crash happened is not controlled by four-way stop signs, meaning that only vehicles on Douglas Fir Road are required to stop, not those traveling along Walnut Shade Road.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident to determine the exact circumstances that led to the crash. They have not yet stated whether charges will be filed or if speed or other factors may have played a role.

Delaware State Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who might have information helpful to the investigation to come forward. Witnesses can call investigators at (302) 698-8518.
